Save the Date | Fall Membership Meeting 11/11

OBSC1 Members: 

We hope you all had an enjoyable summer in OBSC1 and are enjoying the first few weeks of fall. It was a great summer season overall with great weather, great water temps (for the most part), fun events and a fantastic community of owners and renters. We would like to extend our gratitude to OBSC1 head lifeguard Kelly and her team of amazing lifeguards, our badge checkers, clothing sales staff and all volunteers for making OBSC1 such a special place! And thanks to all of you for your cooperation and support throughout the year. 
 

Our Fall Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2:00pm at Union Church of Lavallette located at 25 Philadelphia Ave. As we have discussed, the Fall meeting will be held in-person. We welcome your continued input on meeting format. Please note that an agenda will be provided in advance of our meeting. 

At our Fall Membership Meeting, we will also be holding the annual Trustee elections. If you have an interest in running for the Board of Trustees for a 2 year term commencing on January 1, 2024, please send an email to obsurfclub1@gmail.com no later than Monday, November 6th with a paragraph confirming your interest in serving and any relevant qualifications/information to be considered by the membership when casting their votes. Members in attendance will be permitted to cast one ballot per household. Candidate summaries/bios will be shared with Members in advance of the voting process. 

Of special note, many of you are aware that Fran Ajjan's daughter Jenny passed away in July. The Ajjan family would like to extend their deep appreciation for the outpouring of support that they received from the OBSC1 community following their devastating loss. They are humbled by the love and generosity our community has shown them during this difficult time. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

We will send an additional reminder email prior to November 11th with the agenda and any other relevant information related to the 2023 Fall Meeting. We look forward to seeing many of you on the 11th!
