Owners Badges, Construction, Bay Beach Clean-up and Social Events
OBSC1 Members: Reaching out with a few key updates as we prepare for the official start of Summer 2021! As a reminder, our beaches will officially open on Saturday, June 19, 2021 and will remain open thru Monday, September 6, 2021, from 9am - 5pm daily, conditions permitting. During this time, badge checkers, lifeguards and other staff will be present and badges will be required for entry. Reminder that renters are required to purchase weekly badges for the duration of their stay and are not allowed to use owner’s badges under any circumstances.
Owner Beach Badge Pick-up Information
As previously announced, owner beach badge pick-up will be taking place this Saturday, June 12th. Weather forecast is looking good, but in case that changes, please note that pick-up will occur rain or shine.
When: Saturday, June 12, 2021, from 10 am – 2 pm
Where: Dave Finter's home, 236 Bay Beach WayIf you are unavailable this Saturday, you will be able to pick up your badges at the badge booth beginning Saturday, June 19thIf your 2021 membership dues (or any fines) are outstanding, you will NOT be issued badges until your balance, including applicable late fees, has been cleared**We will have OBSC1 clothing, with new designs, available for sale at the Finter home on Saturday – transactions will be via credit card only**
Bay Beach Clean-up: Volunteers Needed!
We will be cleaning up the Bay Beach this Saturday, June 12th starting at 10am and are looking for volunteers to help. If you can join us, please bring shovels, brooms, rakes, etc. as we will be raking the beach, cleaning sand from the road and performing several other yearly maintenance activities. Thanks in advance for your support!
Construction Deadline Reminder
As a reminder, our annual construction deadline is fast approaching. No construction (any work, interior or exterior) will be allowed after June 15, 2021 nor will it be allowed to resume prior to September 15, 2021. Any homeowner found to have construction performed during the summer moratorium period is subject to a fine of $1,000 a day. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
Social Events
As mentioned during our Spring Membership Meeting, the social committee has been hard at work planning fun events for this summer. Please check out the updated calendar on our website for more information! Further event details will be posted on Facebook, Instagram and the event chalk boards at each dune crossover throughout the summer. Most of the events are weather permitting, so please follow our social media accounts for the most up to date information and any changes to the schedule. We hope to see many of you at our events this summer!
