The past several weeks have been challenging for sure and we are all looking forward to better days ahead with family and friends on our beloved beach and bay. As we are getting closer to the summer season, we wanted to reach out with some reminders.

Annual Membership Dues

As discussed during our Fall Membership meeting last October, annual membership dues for the 2020 season are $500 and are due no later than May 15, 2020. Nonpayment of dues by May 15, 2020 will result in a $25 late fee per lot and an additional $15 per month in which dues remain outstanding. Checks should be made payable to OBSC1 and mailed to:

Construction Rules

Many homeowners are doing rebuilds, rehabs and renovation work – it’s great to see the investments being made in our community! As previously announced, no construction is allowed from Saturday, June 20, 2020 – Monday, September 14, 2020, a week after the beach officially closes. Any homeowner who allows construction during this prohibited time period will be fined $1,000/day. Please refer to the OBSC1 Construction Rules on our website for further details on construction requirements. 

Social Distancing Reminder

We are closely monitoring the federal, state and township guidance as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on our community. We will continue to monitor guidance and mandates and will apprise members of any key updates, including if any changes are needed to our Spring Meeting. As a reminder, given the close-knit nature of our community and the proximity of homes to one another, we would like to ask homeowners to practice social distancing when you are in OBSC1, while such guidance continues. For more information on proper social distancing, please refer to the CDC website.
